POSITION:      Benefits Coordinator, Human Resources (FT)

Effective immediately: Full-time Benefits Coordinator – Human Resources – Wilmington University.

Requirements: 
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field of study is required. Must have at least one to three years of relevant benefits administration experience or compliance-related tasks, preferably in a higher education environment. The incumbent must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed with strong decision-making abilities and creative problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with expertise in utilizing technology and experience with HRIS and benefits administration software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate, interpret, and leverage reports effectively. Demonstrates respect for diversity and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment. Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  
•    Provide timely and accurate administrative support for compliance with regulations including but not limited to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), OSHA, state paid leave laws, ERISA, FMLA, PWFA, OSHA, Secure Act 2.0, HIPAA, I-9 compliance, and employee notice requirements.  
•    Track and manage compliance-related documentation and reporting to ensure regulatory requirements are met. 
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date census files for various benefit vendors, including the timely resolution of errors as needed.   
•    Process departmental invoices to ensure accurate allocation to budget lines. 
•    Update and verify employee data to ensure correct benefit plan administration and compliance. 
•    Collaborate with benefit vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure the seamless integration of census data.
•    Prepare and submit annual workers' compensation reports and ensure all required workers' compensation posters are updated, distributed, and displayed in accordance with federal and state regulations.
•    Assist in the administration of a range of employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and other University and voluntary benefits.
•    Provide support to the HR Benefits Specialist with various tasks as needed, including employee orientations, invoice processing, employee benefits-related questions, workers’ compensation claims, and requests for accommodations and leave of absence claims. 
•    Proactively contribute ideas for improving and expanding the University benefits offerings as key tools for attracting and retaining talent in alignment with the University’s mission and goals. 
•    Contribute to the development and dissemination of HR communications, including employee newsletters, recognition programs, and other relevant updates to keep employees informed and engaged.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Senior Director and/or the AVP/CHRO of Human Resources.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  
Incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours to meet the needs of the department and/or the University. Travel to various sites is required.
