POSITION:    Math Tutor (PT) 

Effective immediately: Part-time Math Tutor, Student Success Center, Wilmington University, New Castle.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with related coursework and/or specialized training relevant to the job
is required. The incumbent must have sufficient experience to successfully perform the job. Must have excellent communication, customer service skills, and organization skills.  Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently as well as work successfully in a team environment. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Must have a high aptitude for the subject area being tutored. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 
•    Meet with students one-on-one, small group, or drop-in basis, to provide learning assistance.
•    Provide friendly and personalized assistance to students.
•    Upload the tutoring session information to Tutor.com platform after meeting with each student.
•    Provide the Student Success Manager with a schedule of when you are available for work each semester.
•    Inform the Student Success Center at least 24 hours in advance if you are not able to keep to your schedule or need to change your schedule.
•    Attend mandatory tutor meetings and training sessions as required each semester.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Manager.

Hours of Employment: Days and Hours will vary depending on when the tutoring sessions are scheduled. The incumbent must be flexible enough with their schedule to meet the needs of the department and/or the University.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
