POSITION:   (PT) Student Financial Services Associate

Effective immediately: (PT) Student Financial Services Associate, Student Financial Services Department, Wilmington University.

Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have prior experience handling student billing or consumer account interactions. Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a diverse population. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be committed to a team-building approach as well as maintaining an effective working relationship with all employees. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is essential.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•    Provide friendly and personalized assistance to students.
•    Respond to routine inquiries from students face-to-face, via phone, and by written correspondence.
•    Collaborate with team members and other student service departments to research and resolve student billing/payment concerns.
•    Multitask and maneuver through different student information and payment systems.
•    Process student payments in the office and assist students with navigating online payment options.
•    Interpret billing account transactions and assist in supporting University payment policies.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
 
Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and/or 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The incumbent must always be flexible enough with their schedule and/or hours to meet the needs of the department and/or the university.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
