POSITION:    Full-time Faculty, College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences

Effective immediately: Full-time Faculty – College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences, Division of Health Sciences - Wilmington University.

Requirements: 
Master’s degree in health sciences or a related field is required. National and/or State Licensure as a Healthcare Professional (e.g., Respiratory Therapist, Radiologic Technologist, Dental Hygienist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Pharmacist, Physician Associate, etc.) is required. A doctoral degree in health sciences or related field is preferred. Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Wilmington University’s database management systems (e.g., Canvas LMS, Banner, BDM, Recruit, or other Microsoft-based Student Information Systems) is required. Detail-oriented and able to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Teams for video conferencing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a service-oriented environment with multiple demands. Self-directed, independent worker with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in all situations. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Contributes as a team member and team builder.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•    Participate in student advisement and support.
•    Support individual and community partnerships in support of the Academic College and its goals. 
•    Participate in program advisory committees. 
•    Collaborate with University Relations to promote visibility and growth of health sciences programs, facilitating relationships with stakeholders and affiliate organizations of interest. 
•    Collaborate with Program Chair(s) to develop and initiate strategies to promote and yield enrollment growth in health sciences programs. 
•    Support the Academic College in implementing activities to ensure strong academic programs that maintain compliance with internal requirements such as program review and outcomes assessment as well as external requirements for approval, accreditation, and licensure.
•    Comply with Wilmington University’s Teaching Expectations document. 
•    Participate in the governance of health sciences program curricula (e.g., program and College curriculum committees). 
•    Mentor new faculty and ensure support of the University's mission, the Academic College philosophy, priorities, and procedures. 
•    Teach 10 courses in the classroom and online.  
•    Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives of the Academic College. 
•    Demonstrate high levels of competence in oral and written communications with all stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community). 
•    Participate in and attend Academic College and University functions (e.g., faculty meetings, Faculty Senate, commencement, Conference on Teaching Excellence). 
•    Comply with the Wilmington University Faculty Handbook. 
•    Support the Wilmington University Institutional Priorities. 
•    Promote the relevancy of the curriculum.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Director and/or Academic Dean.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with evening hours as required per teaching load/course scheduling. The incumbent must maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the University and the College. The incumbent’s schedule must be flexible enough to cover both teaching and meeting responsibilities. These responsibilities may extend beyond normal working hours and days. Travel to other Wilmington University sites is required. Travel to partnership sites is required.
