Effective immediately: (FT) Library Resources & Systems Manager – Library, Wilmington University, New Castle.

Requirements: Master’s degree in library science or educational technology required. Must have excellent communication, customer service skills, and organization skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate, proficient in the use of various applications such as Microsoft Office, and be versed in Information Literacy. Knowledge of research databases, internet searching, and familiarity with online course management systems and web-based tutorial software are expected. Must be committed to professional development in a rapidly changing work environment. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 
•    Provide collaborative leadership in the implementation, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both emerging and existing library systems and applications. These include, but are not limited to, SIRSI, Discovery, ILLiad, EZProxy, and other systems as needed or requested.
•    Works collaboratively with all public and technical services staff and with Information Technology Services to ensure systems are optimized and interoperable with the goal of providing a positive and seamless user experience from both the public and staff perspectives.
•    Coordinate with library administration to develop and maintain library system policies, procedures, and workflows.
•    Maintain electronic resource licenses. 
•    Compile and prepare reports on library resource usage data.
•    Prepare library systems and resources data for visualization and analytics.
•    Develop strategies relating to electronic discovery through library content cataloging and user discovery. Evaluate the quality of open-access resources. 
•    Ensure quality control and maintain the integrity of library metadata and resource-sharing operations across all systems, including SIRSI, OCLC, ILLiad, ContentDM, and Knowledge Base. 
•    Collaborate with library staff, library administration, site directors/staff (Dover/New Castle) to ensure consistency in operations, including policy development, public service, scheduling, and space planning. Communicate with the administrative team on policy, patron, and staffing matters.
•    Provide reference, research consultation, and occasional library classroom instruction in the use of electronic and traditional resources to students, faculty, and staff. Facilitate use of information resources as well as the library’s collections, facilities, and services.
•    Provide leadership and perform duties in planning, assessing, delivering, and managing operations for circulation, stacks, and reserves. Collaborate with Faculty/Program Chairs to ensure the collection is responsive to the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the target populations.  
•    Preparation of circulation, resource sharing, and space usage reports. 
•    Support equitable hiring practices and provide leadership in training, supervision, and performance evaluation of full-time and part-time staff within the area of oversight.
•    Participate in library meetings and appropriate university site meetings and activities. 
•    Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends and best practices in librarianship and technology.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Library Director/Assistant Director.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Incumbent must be flexible with their schedule and or hours to meet the needs of the department and or university. Travel to other sites may be required. 
Library service hours are as follows: Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
