Effective immediately: Full-time, Director, Career Services and Experiential Learning, School of Law - Wilmington University.

Summary: Wilmington University School of Law is seeking a strategic and student-focused legal professional to assist in leading our Career Services and Experiential Learning efforts. This essential role supports Juris Doctor students by delivering individualized career guidance, developing strong employer partnerships, and expanding experiential learning opportunities that reflect our mission of inclusive excellence and real-world readiness.

Requirements: 
A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of relevant experience, including active membership in the Delaware Bar. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills are essential. Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-directed, and capable of making independent decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, service-focused environment with competing demands is critical. Must demonstrate respect for all in the workplace and a commitment to creating a supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•    Advise and coach Juris Doctor students regarding career development and job search strategies, including discussion of career plans, job search strategies, and the application process.
•    Collaborate with members of the School of Law community on program development and delivery, as well as networking and mentoring opportunities.
•    Create, coordinate, and facilitate professional development programming.
•    Develop proficiency in the use of CSM software modules (Symplicity), including job postings, resume collections, interview scheduling, and experiential learning.
•    Conduct employment data tracking, collection, and reporting under multiple reporting regimes (ABA, NALP, US News), audited annually by the ABA.
•    Coordinate communication with students through newsletters and other regular means.
•    Support Experiential Learning programs by sourcing host organizations, conducting site visits, and teaching classroom components.
•    Establish connections with Delaware Bench and Bar as well as other employers in the region.
•    Promote and foster a supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Associate Deans and/or Dean.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., depending on the needs of the department(s) and/or the University, with occasional evenings to accommodate evening students or weekends for specific law school-related programming or events.
