  • Act as a point of contact between counsel and HR regarding any employment related legal matters.
  • Work with internal and external counsel to resolve complex associate relations issues.
  • Work with external counsel on responses to EEOC complaints, including drafting position statements.
  • Represent the Company at unemployment hearings, mediations and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct and document internal investigations.
  • Manage high risk cases on a variety of topics including performance, attendance, conduct and conflict resolution.
  • Act as a point of escalation for associate complaints.
  • Provide solutions to conflicts that best protect the organization as well as the associate.
  • Work on special projects related to associate relations such as HR policy development and interpretation.
  • Act as a resource for Associate Relations Specialists, members of the Leave team and HRBPs on HR policy and employment law.
  • Respond to NAVEX issues.
  • Act as an SME for training related to policies and employment law.
  • Track trends in associate relations and provide suggestions to solve concerns.
  • Participate in escalated meeting with associates and managers to resolve conflict.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5 to 10 years employee relations experience
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with Legal Counsel as well as senior leaders in an organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel may be required, up to 25% of the time, depending on assigned locations.
  • Knowledge of employment law in assigned states (will vary).

NOTE:   AmeriHealth Caritas utilizes a hybrid work environment with associates working from home two days a week, and in the office three days a week. The functions of this position will be performed onsite at our offices located at 3805 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, 19073.
