Position Summary: Security Guard

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  • Standing, observing, customer service
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards at all times 
  • Adhere to company standards while interacting with the public, clients, and emergency responders 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues 
  • Process-oriented with high attention to detail, and solve a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision.

Job Requirements:

Unarmed Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) 
  • Valid drivers license
  • Current Illinois state-required unarmed Permanent Employee Regulation Card (PERC) certifying security training
  • Reliable form of transportation 
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency 
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of shift 
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather 
  • Completion of 20 hour state-required unarmed security training course

Armed Requirements

  • 21 years or older 
  • Current Illinois state-required unarmed Permanent Employee Regulation Card (PERC) certifying security training
  • Not have been convicted of a felony, a sexual offense, or any crime that would question the honesty and integrity of the person
  • Completion of 20 hour state-required unarmed security training course 
  • Completion of 20 hour state-required firearms training course 


Compensation and Schedule:
Full Time- Must have open availability for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

 Pay: Based on experience
