Position Summary : Entry level manufacturing positions described below.
Duties and Responsibilities: Material Handler
- Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety.
- Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contain dust, odors and noise.
- Work well under pressure.
- Read customer orders, shipping pick list or bill of lading to determine items to be moved or shipped.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Mark materials/packaging with identifying information.
- Manage parts and maintain inventory records.
- May operate forklift to transport materials within the plant.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to bend and squat frequently.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.
Duties and Responsibilities: Upholster
- Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contain dust, odors and noise.
- Work well under pressure.
- Reads blueprint and or order for cover specifications.
- Install and/or repair webbing and springs.
- Stitch, glue, nail and tack fabric in place.
- Obtains correct seat cover and seat frame for order.
- Pull plastic over foam padding.
- Pull seat cover over plastic and foam padding on seat back and seat bottom.
- Uses a stick with a hook to pull and stretch fabric over seat as necessary.
- Uses a stuffer to tuck fabric of seat cover.
- Uses a hog ring gun to staple the seat cover onto the frame.

Duties and Responsibilities: Packer
- Cleans packaging containers.
- Lines and pads crates and assembles cartons.
- Obtains and sorts product.
- Wraps protective material around product.
- Starts, stops, and regulates speed of conveyor.
- Inserts or pours product into containers or fills containers from spout or chute.
- Weighs containers and adjusts quantity.
- Nails, glues, or closes and seals containers.
- Labels containers, container tags, or products.
- Sorts bundles or filled containers.
- Packs special arrangements or selections of product.
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
- Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of 6 months experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in a team as well as individual.
- Attention to detail and problem solver.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, picklist and orders.
- Ability to read English.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
