The Junior Recruiter (or Jr. Talent Acquisition Lead) is responsible for assisting the Recruiter (or Talent Acquisition team) with key initiatives as assigned.  Additionally, the Junior Talent Acquisition Lead must have the ability to interact well with cross-functional teams and take a consultative approach to the recruiting and the workflow process.  The Junior Talent Acquisition Lead reports to the Talent Acquisition Team Lead.


This individual will be an experienced, hands-on professional with a customer service orientation and is charged with engaging various aspects of the talent acquisition process for a variety of openings.

The Junior Lead will:

  • Source and screen candidates using the latest social recruiting vehicles, Internet web sites/databases, networking, job fairs, employee referral program, professional organizations, etc.

  • Develop and maintain job postings.

  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and assisting in the selection decision.

  • Support Talent Acquisition team through various administrative and non-administrative functions.

  • Provide timely feedback to internal and external candidates and update information in the Taleo applicant tracking system.

  • Complete or assist with other staffing projects as assigned to enhance company services and processes.

  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams on projects outside the talent acquisition function.

  • Be available to work on our client’s sites as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and personal attributes:

  1. Experience in an entrepreneurial setting or small organization is desired.

  2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically a demonstrated strong skill set in Excel.

  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales or recruiting function.

  4. Strong business skills and the capability to organize and prioritize work and to accomplish goals under tight time constraints.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be resourceful/ think outside the box.

  6. Ambitious and pro-active about projects and work.

  7. Willingness to work hard, have a can-do attitude and be helpful.

  8. Excellent customer service and empathy skills (ability to listen).

  9. Detail-oriented and has a strong sense of accountability.

  10. Display integrity, honesty and maturity to handle situations while working with people.

  11. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a number of projects at a time.
