Specialty Pharmacy Liaison - Full-Time

As a full-time, non-exempt,
CPS® Specialty Pharmacy Liaisonyou will provide customer service and expertise to patients or providers regarding specialty pharmacy enrollment, prescription processing, benefits inquiries, prescription status inquiries, and any other question as it pertains to their account. This includes communicating with the clinic staff to obtain the number of patients scheduled for appointments, determining their insurance coverage by accessing the electronic medical record (EMR) greeting the patients and providing verbal and written information about the specialty pharmacy program. The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Technician will also communicate with the clinic staff for the opportunity to provide more detailed information about the program and provide a Welcome Packet to patients in the clinic treatment room if requested by the patient or provider. The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Technician works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. 

Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.

About the Facility The Outpatient Pharmacy is located inside Central Maine Medical Center. Services include medication counseling, medication therapy management, immunizations, prescriptions delivered by mail, over-the-counter products, non-sterile compounding, a specialty pharmacy, and 340B inventory management. The CMMC pharmacy participates with most insurance plans and provides exclusive dispensing services to Central Maine Healthcare employees. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.


Required Qualifications:                                                                                                                              ​

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No previous experience required, willing to train
  • Previous experience in customer service, as a pharmacy technician in hospital or retail, or as a medical assistant preferred
  • ME Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
