Pharmacy Technician- Full time

Schedule:  This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week from 8am-5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; and 8a-4pm on Wednesday.  There are no scheduled weekend hours with this position.

As a full time, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician with CPS® at Samuel U Rodgers Health Center (Outpatient Clinic) in Kansas City, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

About the facility: Samuel U. Rodgers located at 825 Euclid Ave. in the northeast area of Kansas City, MO 64124 provides outpatient pharmacy & related retail pharmacy service to support the diverse patient population of children, adolescents and adults receiving primary health care services.  The services provided include specialty women’s health services (OB/GYN and mammography screenings), podiatry, mental health for children and adults, pharmacy services, digital imaging, lab services, & community outreach services.  While language interpreters are on-site to translate in many languages. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.

About the pharmacy:  The Outpaitent Clinic pharmacy is open 8am-5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; and 8a-4pm Wednesdays (closed Saturday/Sunday)

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience working in Outpatient pharmacy clinic or retail pharmacy setting as a technician. 
  • State Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
  • Bilingual or Spanish/English skills preferred

Hospital Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months 
  • N95 mask fit testing
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
