Specialty Pharmacy Manager

As a full-time, exempt, CPS® Specialty Pharmacy Manager,  you will oversee the operations of the specialty pharmacy  including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. This includes the integration of specialty pharmacy practice within the hospital by coordinating resources to provide maximum level of services to patients and the customer. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.

Schedule : This position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Our patients include individuals and families from the immediate Glens Falls area to those living in smaller, geographically remote communities tucked away in our most rural areas.  We also provide care for many of our downstate, New York City, and out of state visitors that come to our region to vacation and enjoy the six-million-acre Adirondack Park. Glens Falls Hospital maintains a service area that spans 6,000 square miles, across 5 diverse counties of Warren, Washington, northern Saratoga, Essex, and Hamilton counties. In addition to our main hospital campus, we operate 20 regional health care facilities, including medical centers in the communities of Cambridge, Corinth, Granville, Greenwich, Salem, Whitehall, Hudson Falls, and Wilton. CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS®.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Required Qualifications: 

  • B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current New York Pharmacist license active and in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency in Specialty Pharmacy preferred
  • Retail or outpatient health system manager experience preferred
  • 2 plus years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy required, in ambulatory specialty pharmacy clinics preferred
  • 2 plus years of experience in a pharmacy supervisory position in a hospital or retail setting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
