ECS is seeking an Advanced Budget Analyst to work in our Colorado Springs, CO office. 

Job Description:
The Advanced Analyst will:

  • Develop, document, and brief POM and President’s Budget submissions.
  • Manage and send funding documents to performing activities in an expeditious manner.
  • Plan, collect, and report financial execution metrics.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Manage current and prior funds efficiently to allocate resources to meet mission priorities, develop and maintain accurate financial tools, reconcile invoices, and sweep un-liquidated obligations.
  • Work with cost estimating and engineering teams to create realistic obligation and expenditure spend plans for the life of the funds.
  • Analyze, track, and manage program budget shortfalls and surpluses to realign and rephase the total portfolio budget to minimize and prevent requests for above threshold reprogramming.

Required Skills:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Possess a DoD Secret clearance.
  • 10-years’ experience in DoD financial management or an MA/MS in a related field and 7 years of DoD financial management experience.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, planning, problem solving, data collection, and analytical skills.
  • Capable of leading and executing tasks associated with budget formulation and budget execution for complex weapon systems.
  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • MDA financial management experience.
  • DAI proficiency.
  • CDFM certification
