ECS is seeking an ET&L Developer Senior to work in our Washington, DC office.

 

Job Description:

ECS is currently seeking an ETL Developer for a full-time position supporting a federal agency. This position calls for an experienced, forward thinking, capable developer to work  with our client in Southwest Washington DC. (Metro accessible). Candidates must have an active Top-Secret clearance. The ETL Developer will be joining a team of engineers in support of a highly visible enterprise-wide financial data warehouse and reporting system. They must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the group. This high visibility system is used at all levels of the organization and considered critical to the mission. The ETL Developer will work with DBAs and the development team to produce customized reports and analytics to a range of customers.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL database development experience.
  • Strong experience with ETL development and process from diverse data sources.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • The ETL Developer must have experience working with users and stakeholders to transform business requirements into functionality.
  • Experience in Data Migration projects.
  • Candidates must have experience documenting their development efforts.
  • Must have experience working in complex applications and systems.
  • Must have experience developing logical and physical data models.
  • Must ensure data models conform to existing business standards.
  • Must have experience working collaboratively in a mixed contractor and government environment.
  • Experience developing SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers, queries, procedures, functions, stored procedures etc.
  • Experience in both SQL and Oracle environments.
  • The ability to debug existing PL/SQL code to identify and fix errors.
  • Knowledge of core database concepts such as relational table design, normalization, PL/SQL features, exception handling.
  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Python or Shell scripting.
  • Hands on experience analyzing specifications, designing, developing and testing reports using WebFOCUS is highly desirable.
