ECS is seeking a Sr Data Scientist (Top Secret Cleared) to work in our Washington, DC office.

 

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Sr. Data Scientist to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice. We offer the chance to support the world’s finest law enforcement organization and help the people that keep us safe. In this job you will support agents, analysts, and professionals and technology they use to fight terrorism, espionage, cyber-attacks, and major criminal threats.

 

We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data science and data engineering related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in mission-critical response operations environment.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and utilize data systems and other strategies to optimize data efficiency and data quality.
  • Use advanced data analytics and coding techniques to extract and manipulate data, develop data models, and analyze data.
  • Analyze, identify, and assess data attributes using statistical and advanced data analytics techniques.
  • Interpret and analyze data collected from a variety of sources using exploratory and statistical techniques.
  • Perform custom Extract Transform Load (ETL) work to aggregate data from multiple repositories and condition the data to provide novel insights.
  • Recommend new ideas and innovations in support of advanced data analytics and data modeling.
  • Construct tailored data visualizations to assist the novice in understanding complex data analytics results.
  • Model real-world complex data problems applying probability theory and statistical analysis.
  • Prepare reports, materials and documentation associated with information gathering.

 

Salary Range: $155,000 - $190,000

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI-CI Poly.
  • 10 years overall data science, data engineering, or advanced data analytics experience.
  • 4+ years coding experience.
  • 3+ years’ coding experience using Python.
  • Significant database experience - SQL, NoSQL, Graph Databases.
  • 2+ years Cloud experience (AWS Preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, data modeling, data manipulation, data cleansing, data segmentation, and data visualization.
  • Experience with data design, database architecture, metadata and data repository creation support.
  • Demonstrated experience performing statistical analysis of large and complex structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience implementing and supporting data visualization solutions using tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
  • Demonstrated experience with Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with software version control tools like Git, Gitlab.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience using AI and Machine Learning (ML) techniques and strategies to improve data modeling and analysis to solve complex data problems.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies on the fly.
  • Ability to deconstruct customer requirements into delineated tasks.
  • Being a team player, willing to transparently collaborate with technical SMEs.
