ECS is seeking a Scrum Master to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

 

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a Scrum Master to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.

 

This position requires on-site work; therefore, candidate must reside in the Albuquerque area. Hybrid work available - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after the initial training period.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate agile teams, apply best practices of the agile methodology, and assign and delegate tasks appropriately to align priorities with the overall schedule and team member capabilities.
  • Responsible for understanding the parameters of each sprint and will foster timely and accurate communication throughout the life of the project.
  • Works closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers.
  • Assist with problem resolution and work to maximize productivity and delivery to the customer.

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 2 years of scrum experience required
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's Degree in a related field and 5 additional years of related experience may be substituted OR 6 additional years of related experience for a total of 8 years' experience may be substituted.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Strong communication and teaming skills/experience
  • Experience with software development projects and lifecycle

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience managing large complex software engineering teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
