ECS is seeking a Mid-Level Data Base Administrator to work in our Remote office.

 

Job Description:

Job Title:  Mid-Level Application DBA/Database Developer position requirement

Project Location: Remote / Columbia Gateway Center Columbia, Maryland

Clearance: Final Secret / IT-II required

Seeking a resourceful, self motivated candidate who can work creatively and independently in a remote environment.  A successful candidate will have data architect capability and/or experience and will be able to communicate well with program manager, senior DBA, developers, business analysts, help desk personnel and will be able to convert business and programming requirement into data driven solutions.  The successful candidate will be able to ensure data structures are in strict compliance with general practice standards, have the ability to use/develop ETL process and research and understanding of undocumented data structures.

 

Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000

Required Skills:

  • Security+ Certified.
  • Secret security clearance
  • US Citizenship required per contract.
  • Oracle Database Experience 12c/19C.
  • Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Apache Cassandra.
  • Apache Solr.
  • DataStax Enterprise (DSE) Cassandra.
  • Cassandra map (data) dump and processing.
  • Dealing with JSON data.
  • CQLSH and Cassandra data import/export.
  • Data manipulation skills with Python, Excel and data cleansing and preprocessing for ETL.
  • Strong skills with data export/import using Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Oracle data export/import with Data Pump.
  • Documentation of DB changes.
  • Ability to write Oracle Database monitoring scripts.

Desired Skills:

  • Python.
  • Unix Bash Shell Scripting skills.
  • Exposure to AWS/RDS Database environment and working knowledge of ORacle database in RDS environment.
