Strategic Vision & Leadership

  • Provide professional leadership as part of Hillels of Georgia Senior Management Staff including CEO, Vice President of Finance and Operations and other staff
  • Be a “doogma” (role model) for Jewish life, living, learning, leadership, service and activism provide Israel awareness, education and advocacy and promote student connections with Israel
  • Provide direct supervision to Campus Directors and Program Directors; as well as supervisory support for all other “student facing” staff providing services on each individual campus and HGA system-wide
  • Coordinate and conduct regular professional staff meetings for staff; and staff work teams as necessary, as well as regular continuing education programs and/or retreats
  • Foster a workplace that recruits and retains top talent dedicated to excellence, continuous improvement, continuing education and professional development
  • Develop resources and tools for regular and annual review of all campus staff including goals, objectives, measurements and strategic work plans
  • Implement staff development and continuing education programs for the professional staff team including personalized development plans for individual staff members
  • Conceive, develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate new programmatic initiatives of campus-centric and statewide initiatives including collaborative projects with University and community partners, for expanded, efficient and effective services to students.
  • Provide leadership for innovation and creativity to expand student initiatives for engagement and empowerment including HGA-wide Student Leadership Councils
  • Liaison with Hillel International and other Jewish agencies for staffing, professional continuing
  • education and development, student leadership and programmatic matters
  • Be present and support campus staff and students for student programs taking place at each campus within the Hillels of Georgia system
  • Develop, in collaboration with Campus Directors and staff, the implementation of a Hillels of Georgia engagement strategy that incorporates all Hillels of Georgia campuses for consistent vision, branding, messaging and programmatic initiatives across the system 
  • Establish a cohort for the Campus Directors and staff for idea sharing, professional development, and to foster a connection to the larger Hillels of Georgia system

What You’ve Accomplished

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience as a Hillel professional or Jewish communal professional, college student activities or young adult community
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
