Position Summary
Transform lives by supporting the School of Applied Technology faculty and staff in day to day lab operations and with the ongoing maintenance of various equipment found throughout the School of Applied Technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for various program equipment. Document and maintain maintenance records.
Identify preventive maintenance concerns and develop correction plans.
Collaborate with faculty to determine equipment needs.
Contact dealers and vendors to secure quotes.
Coordinate purchasing, equipment installation and removal.
Develop/adopt equipment inspection plans/reports.
Identify broken, worn, or unsafe equipment. Determine necessary action for replacement or repair.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to determine lab setups.
Assist faculty and staff with moving and placing equipment. Transport equipment or coordinate the transport of equipment to and from campus and center locations.
Communicate effectively with college leadership, faculty, and staff regarding project updates and facility needs.
Foster positive relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in an industrial or mechanical maintenance field preferred.
Experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, maintenance scheduling, facility layout and organization, or project management preferred.
Experience operating a fork truck preferred.
Knowledge of maintenance/work order software preferred.
Must possess excellent mechanical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
