Job Overview: 

We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable and professional Receptionist to work closing shifts at an upscale business university's fitness center located in Boston, MA. 

The shift hours for this position is Monday and Wednesday (5:30pm – 10:15pm) and Fridays (5:30pm – 8:15pm).

What you will do:

  • Responsible for overseeing facility operations and completing closing duties after full-time managers leave for the evening at 6:00pm. Job requirements would be completed Mondays/Wednesdays (5:30pm – 10:15pm) and Fridays (5:30pm – 8:15pm) during closing shifts.
  • Greeting, managing facility access, and assisting members. Provides membership information and answers FAQs regarding the facility and its offerings. Leads and assists Member Services team while on shift.
  • Periodic inventory checks, sales of merchandise/sporting goods, and equipment loans.
  • Responding to client and member requests, comments, or concerns and brings issues to a timely and appropriate resolution. As an emergency situation lead, will manage incidents and complete accident reports as needed.
  • Maintains and communicates facility policies. Educates members on policies and procedures as needed.
  • Helps with all Member Services desk administration and processes including answering the phone and handling facility court bookings. Processes membership sales and performs related recordkeeping in database.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

What we are looking for: 

  • Ability to network, engage and interact with all clients, guests and members.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Competence with basic computer skills, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web applications.
  • If applicable to your location, you may be required to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (company will provide reimbursement in accordance with company’s policies).

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
