Position Description
An educational technology company that partners with top colleges and universities to bring their degree programs online is looking to engage a marketing or creative services professional with specific experience and a sincere interest in resource planning and project management, in an ongoing work-from-home, full-time marketing and creative services project management position. The employer, our client, would like to begin someone in the role right away.
This is a full-time, temporary assignment with work ongoing through the end of 2024 and likely into 2025 as well. We are ideally looking to talk with applicants who would like to work 40 hours/week remotely. Please apply for this role if you have excellent, relevant credentials and are interested in a mid-term, full-time temporary engagement.
The individual in this role must be proactive and have the ability to keep things moving under pressure and on tight deadlines. This position steps-in and helps to project manage creative assets by reallocating resources, adjusting goals or requirements or assigning new people to the project. The Project Manager should also be able to motivate internal clients to adopt and adhere to project management best practices. The role requires keen attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, and sometimes a diplomatic touch.
The individual in this role manages brand campaigns in collaboration with channel owners (email, social media, website), creative teams (including agencies), and marketing leadership. They will oversee the full campaign lifecycle, including gathering and aligning business objectives with campaign goals, planning brainstorm kickoffs, defining a calendar, project managing asset production and distribution, and reporting on success.
Brainstorm Creative Resources has supported the client organization since 2016. We can share the organization name, the hiring manager's credentials, information about our work history with the organization and examples of the types of products that might be produced in this role, with the most well qualified applicants.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Overall process and workflow management.
⦁ Work closely with channel owners, creative teammates, and brand team stakeholders to define campaign assets and roadmap.
⦁ Run efficient weekly campaign check-in meetings.
⦁ Manage campaign phase and asset deadlines, proactively communicating and setting deadlines.
⦁ Update and manage a calendar of campaign asset distribution, including email, social, and website.
⦁ Own and update planning and campaign overview docs.
⦁ No analytics skills needed, but experience pulling together results in a digestible format.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
⦁ Highly relevant previous experience ranging from three years to...well, there's no maximum! We're looking forward to talking with great people all across the experience band who can clearly demonstrate that they will bring the right skills to this Project Manager role.
⦁ Strong scheduling skills - able to plan projects both in short and long term, creating work back schedules based on launch dates.
⦁ Process improvement driven person - experience improving processes and behaviors.
⦁ Experience with a variety of content and content-adjacent projects (blog, social, email, website, video, etc.).
⦁ Tools: Smartsheets and Jira / Atlassian are a plus; experience with similar tools work.
⦁ Soft skills: Able to take initiative, proactive problem solver, strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, able to juggle multiple things at once.
LOCATION:
This is a fully remote position. You can work from home or any location you choose in the United States. The employer is headquartered in Maryland, but you will not need to visit their offices at any time.
HOURS:
Please apply only if you can work during typical east coast business hours. This is essential. For this scope of work we are not interested in receiving inquiries from otherwise well qualified applicants who already have full-time, dayside commitments and are only looking for evening/weekend work. Here is a summary of logistical considerations discussed elsewhere in our job description:
(1) must be able to work 40 hours/week;
(2) entirely during typical east coast business hours;
(3) from the remote location of your choosing;
(4) ongoing for the foreseeable future, and no less than 3 months.
RATE:
Brainstorm Creative Resources strives to pay competitively and we ask our employer clients to help us make it possible to do so. For this scope of work we are suggesting a broad pay rate range of $40/hour to $50/hour. Since this role offers 40 billable hours/week, we recommend considering the annualized equivalents to the high and low rates within our range -- $80K/year to $100K/year. Earlier career professionals should expect potential offers to be at or close to the bottom of our advertised range. Highly experienced creative services project managers can expect that we will make a strong case to the employer, to pay at the top of the range. We have helped this employer and others engage and hire many project managers at or below $50/hour during the last two years.
The actual rate offered will be commensurate with your experience and will largely be based on the following factors: credentials as detailed in your resume, your portfolio, your interview experiences with Brainstorm Creative Resources and/or our client, and quality of reference providers and references provided.
