Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Program Management, Senior Analyst to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC.  As a member of the Systems Development and Maintenance (SDM) team, the Senior Analyst will support a newly developing PMO and organizational project management portfolio for the development, testing and implementation of software applications.

The Senior Analyst will work as a member of the PMO and provide assistance to executive management, Project Managers, and project team members in establishing projects, providing guidance and best practices. The candidate will develop/execute processes to oversee the portfolio and projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget and will also ensure the standards are held throughout each project’s development and execution.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days on-site in Rosslyn, VA. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform portfolio, program and project management duties including project planning, monitoring, status reporting, and execution of projects
  • Accurately coordinate and document the project’s creation, development, and execution as well as developing and analyzing financial data, including the project’s scope, budget, resource allocation, and justification, tracking baseline and updating performance and project health
  • Provide financial reports and budget outlines to client executives and project teams
  • Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines
  • Perform analysis of complex business functions and requirements as it relates to business needs. Understand and document customers’ business processes and practices and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in project management
  • Draft new and improving existing PMO policies and processes
  • Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders to align the program/project with larger organizational goals

Travel

Up to 10% domestic travel, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Program/Project Manager; including organizing, directing, and monitoring multiple projects within the portfolio, preferably in the software development environment
  • Experience with SAFe Scaled Agile Framework 
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Expertise with Power BI Reporting
  • Expertise in project management best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with the highest levels of management; including oral presentations
  • Expertise with MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • Experience with SharePoint

Education

BA/BS in Business Administration or related field required; MS in Project Management or related field preferred

Clearance

Secret required; Top Secret preferred

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $100,847 - $151,271 per year.
