Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Procurement Support Analyst (Procurement, Associate) to support a federal government client in Washington, DC.  Responsibilities include assistance with acquisition planning, development of solicitations, requests for proposals, developing and drafting purchase orders, miscellaneous obligations, contracts, interagency agreements and cooperative agreements.

Telework is authorized for this position with the schedule based on client requirements. Fully remote work is not authorized for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support all stages of the procurement process, including market research, development of statements of work, assistance in preparing cost estimates, and assistance with the reporting on contract status and the administration of contracts and agreements
  • Assisting with keeping the agency up to date on developments in federal contracting and assistance with implementing G-invoicing for interagency agreements, including providing input on forms and processes for acquiring goods, services and supplies
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement plans and necessary justifications and/or determinations and findings for review by the Contracting Officer Representative
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders, contracts and other documents, assisting in keeping forms up to date with applicable acquisitions laws and regulations and that specifications are clear

Travel

Local travel up to 10% may be required but is not expected on a regular basis

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of acquisition planning, development of solicitations, requests for proposals, developing and drafting purchase orders, miscellaneous obligations, contracts, interagency agreements and cooperative agreements
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with personnel and other government agencies at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working with databases and other financial systems
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification as a U.S. government contracting officer and prior experience as a contracts administrator, contracting officer and/or specialist
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent briefing skills  
  • CGFM or other relevant professional certifications

Education

BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant Business Field with at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.  

Master’s Degree in any major field of study, preferred

Clearance

Secret clearance; employment is contingent on passing the government clearance process

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $100,000 - $130,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
