Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a part time Cyber Security Outreach and Cyber Table Top Lead (Security Engineering, Senior Associate) to support the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. 

This is a part time position (20-30 hours a week) requiring both on-site and remote support. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software with a focus on system security and vulnerability
  • Perform technical (evaluation of technology) and nontechnical (evaluation of people and operations) risk and vulnerability assessments of relevant technology focus areas (e.g., local computing environment, network and infrastructure, enclave boundary, supporting infrastructure, and applications)
  • Perform risk analysis (e.g., threat, vulnerability, and probability of occurrence) whenever an application or system undergoes a major change
  • Participate in Cyber Table Top (CTT) wargame exercises
  • Provide program managers actionable information on cyber threats to mission execution
  • Provide outreach to the PMA/PMO to facilitate CTTs and Events within the NCRC

Travel 

10% - 15% to other sites, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant experience working with multiple aviation platforms
  • Ability to interact and communicate with our clients and project/task sponsors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance, team environment
  • High degree of organization and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of naval aviation acquisition programs
  • Experience and knowledge of naval aviation systems.

Education

BS degree in Information Technology or an Aerospace degree from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must hold a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $90.00 – $95.00 per hour. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
