In this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand situated within our Solutions account for an Investment Management company. The Project Manager will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients and will be an integral part of the overall Conferences and Events team. S/he will responsible for managing and executing the coordination of conferences and events.

  • Responsible for delivery a number of key virtual events across the EMEA region
  • Leading on webcasts, webinars and conference calls
  • Work closely with EMEA channel team to plan/schedule virtual events across the region while keeping central event calendar up to date
  • Providing an advisory role to key stakeholders on the most suitable virtual event format/platform to utilize
  • Work closely with the Event Tech Manager and Multimedia team creating relevant event platforms, scheduling comms and creating production timelines
  • Scheduling of recordings/broadcasts with keynote speakers
  • Create production briefs for keynote speakers
  • Working with global teams on leveraging events that are led by other regions
  • Manage all aspects of the event operation from creation, budgeting, to reconciliation and reporting
  • Speaker and internal stakeholder management including clear information on relevant logistical aspects of the event
  • Work strategically with Marketing and Client-facing professionals on achieving event goals and objectives



  • Responsible for the planning and execution of multiple events across multiple territories which meet and exceed client expectations
  • Leading on flagship events, roadshows roundtables, seminars, conferences and sponsored events
  • Manage all aspects of the event life cycle from initial briefing to reconciliation, including creation, management and reporting of key milestones of project timeline to stakeholders alongside supplier management
  • Working with the relevant stakeholders to identify invitees and oversee the delegate management process of the project
  • Management of all food and beverage requirements including menu tastings when appropriate
  • Creation and scoping the audio-visual brief requirements as required by each project to manage with chosen supplier
  • Identify all audio-visual requirements of internal and external speakers along with collation of presentation deck
  • Work strategically with Marketing and client-facing professionals on achieving event goals and objectives
  • Speaker and internal stakeholder management including clear information on relevant logistical aspects of the event
  • Support of other team members with assigned responsibility for specific components of large flagship conferences
  • Travel for site visits and on-site execution
  • Responsible for accurate and timely budgeting and reconciliation of events
  • Post event re-booking and negotiation of venues for the following year where appropriate
  • Adherence to client standards of operations and best practice at all times, including meeting with regulatory compliance and legal procedures
  • Working with Team Leader to update processes and policies of the standard operating procedures of the Event Team
  • Think creatively and closely monitor value adds at every opportunity
  • Share knowledge of best practice regarding new suppliers, services and venues
  • Proactively share fresh and innovative ideas to always achieve year-on-year “good to great”
  • Assist in training and monitoring of new starters within the team as assigned by the Team Leader
  • Adherence at all times in protecting client and FIRST confidentiality in all emails and verbal conversations
  • Support Team Leader and FIRST with building and maintaining client relationships



  • Business Italian Speaking
  • Extensive e vent management or event marketing experience in a financial environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Desirable not essential)
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management, including: budget creation, management and reconciliation
  • Experience with conference, meeting and production management
  • Experience with arranging exhibitions and sponsored events
  • Proficient supplier knowledge and negotiating skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Creative problem solver and decision maker; resourceful
  • Team-oriented whilst also being able to work autonomously
  • Adaptability – to situations and ever changing demands
  • Highly organised – ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Working knowledge of key UK/EMEA destinations
  • Excellent knowledge of venues and suppliers in key UK/EMEA cities
  • Experience working with large and complex event management databases
  • Experience with Exact Target and Microsoft CRM, Marketo preferable
  • Experience with audience engagement technology (Apps etc)



  • Track own time accurately on FIRST’s time tracking software
  • Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies whilst having clean smart surroundings
  • Work intelligently and ensure the Team Leader is aware of problems or issues which negatively affect productivity.
  • Build excellent relations with team through positive communication
  • Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to support everyone working effectively and efficiently
  • Work on ad hoc requests from FIRST and client as required, typically during quite times
