We invite applications for the following position in our Corner Brook mill operation. We are seeking candidates who can work independently or in a team environment, are self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and looking for a challenge in a fast paced industry. INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC
Competition No. 2019-03
Based on mill priorities, the successful applicant will be regularly involved in the maintenance, installation, repair, troubleshooting and preventative & predictive maintenance on a wide variety of mechanical equipment and production processes in a heavy industrial environment. This includes conveyors, pumps, refiners, etc.
As a minimum, candidates will have a 1st Class Interprovincial Certificate in the Welding trade or Industrial Mechanic with experience in welding. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a valid “B” Pressure welding ticket. Candidates will be expected to work safely at all times
Additional requirements are as follows:
- All applicants should possess a grade 12 diploma or equivalent, a valid first aid certificate, and WHMIS 2015.
- Applicants must provide proof of all relevant qualifications and be available to participate in a pre-employment testing procedure.
