We are currently seeking a Maintenance & Safety Technician to join our team.  As a key part of our team, you will consistently exhibit a high level of attention to detail.  As a leading medical device manufacturer, it is imperative we maintain an immaculate and safe facility. Whether you are performing a mechanical repair, helping an internal client, or picking up trash, you will take pride in your work. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to facility repair and maintenance requests
  • Make repairs advising management and internal customers of completion/additional needs
  • Assist with property maintenance including preventative, physical, or functional
  • Troubleshoot issues to find the best methods for repair
  • Drive company vehicle as needed to obtain supplies and go between our Product  Development office and our Corporate HQ Manufacturing facility (one mile apart)
  • Set-up and tear-down for company meetings, training, and celebrations
  • Support in-house safety practices and protocols
  • Instruct basic safety classes weekly for our New-Hire Orientation
  • Collaborate with managers, quality team, and safety council members to ensure the  facility meets safety compliance
  • Coordination of annual safety drills, ensuring all key areas are assigned and  prepped for emergencies


Minimum Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Hand & Power tool hands-on experience
  • Electrical (basic level)
  • Plumbing (basic level)
  • Painting (basic level)
  • Fabrication (light)
  • Forklift and Scissor operation and use
  • Clean DMV Driving Record (no accidents or violations)
  • Speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Professional and clear interpersonal communication ability
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook email (basic level)
  • Team player
  • Attention to details
  • Exhibit pride in your work
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Available to work Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Availability to work occasional OT,  including weekends


Preferred Educational Requirements:

  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification or trainer
  • Safety Coordinator experience
  • First Aid CPR Trainer
  • Forklift and Scissor lift certification(s)
  • 2+  years experience in a responsible Safety position, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Microsoft Office application use (intermediate level)
