As a Mechanical Assembler on our team, you will be a part of a 21st-century assembly team utilizing our patented computer-directed assembly technology, vPoke®.  Our assemblers work independently at an assembly station that resembles a modern computer desk with a mounted monitor, an adjustable desk for standing or sitting, and a headset.  You can learn more about our mechanical assembly and vPoke® on our website at:


Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities

  • Build Mechanical assemblies with strict adherence to vPoke® principles
  • Ensure assemblies and components are properly handled, inspected, and inserted
  • Cross-train to cover other functions in the Mechanical Production Floor as well as other departments within Paramit, as needed                
  • Support team projects and process improvement activities, as directed
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations associated with this position
  • Complies with all policies and follows procedures of our company


Minimum Experience Requirements


Technical Competencies

  • Basic Mechanical assembly skills; prior experience is preferred.  Mechanical aptitude, experience with hand tools, and other types of mechanical work (i.e. engine repair, home maintenance, or working on bicycles) are also good in lieu of manufacturing experience.  Having good hand-eye coordination is a critical part of working productively with tools and small components
  • Basic level of computer literacy including  having comfort working within an application, wearing a headset, and communicating verbally with a computer


Soft Skills & Work Style

  • Ability to focus for long periods of time without easily being distracted. This type of work is best suited for those who can engage with a computer for long periods of time, enjoys assembling Legos or other types of building projects
  • Aptitude to work independently with little or no supervision

  • Not only having the willingness and being open to intensive training, but the desire to continually learn and grow is a winning mindset in this role.  Training can include reading English text,

observing colleagues, and working with mechanical engineers for assembly-skill certification. As you accomplish milestones in assembly, you will progress to more complex assemblies requiring additional training.  As a contract manufacturer we have the awesome opportunity to work with a variety of cutting-edge medical companies and as projects change, so will the training to adapt to the current assemblies. 


Physical Abilities

  • Availability to work Swing Shift:  3:30 pm to 12:00 am,  Monday - Friday
  • Fluent proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Test in the English language will be administered to all candidates during an onsite interview to confirm English fluency, comprehension, hand-tool knowledge, and attention to detail
  • Physically able to lift up to 35lbs., push and pull large devices, walk, carry items, bend, twist, squat, and kneel as needed to do the job.  You do have the ability to stand or sit while assembling, as you prefer.  There are some builds that are large that will require standing to assemble.  As such, you should be able to stand for up to two hours at a time. 



  • Commitment to work; maintain good attendance, including punctuality
  • Due to the extensive amount of training, 3 to 6+ months including engineering certification, ideal candidates are looking for  long-term employment
  • Flexibility; based on business needs you may need to work beyond your scheduled time along with requests for support on a weekend day*   

*In compliance with California Labor Law, overtime will be paid at time-and-a-half of regular hourly compensation for hours worked in a day over 8 hours, or worked in a week over 40.
