The Position:

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for growing Veracyte's Diagnostic business in his/her area of responsibility. This individual works closely with the Senior Country Manager to define Veracyte's commercial plan for his/her area of responsibility and its execution in the assigned territory.

  • This individual executes the German, Switzerland, and Austria commercial activities for the in vitro diagnostic assays, beginning with the breast cancer assay, Prosigna.
  • This individual has direct responsibility for sales revenues.
  • This individual works with the Sr. Country Manager to maximize sales revenues from National Centers and key Private Centers, and drives growth by articulating a thoughtful, evidence-based rationale for how practicing Oncologists and Pathologists can use Veracyte's diagnostic tests to improve outcomes whilst also reducing costs through the accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment of disease. As such, this individual must be comfortable in dialoguing with the thought leaders and decision-makers in the field of Oncology and molecular Pathology and will also need to analyze the market and detect the best and fastest opportunities to develop the business. In addition, this individual works closely with supporting functions (like Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Affairs and Support) in order to detect, organize and execute activities (congresses, tradeshows, seminars, medical educations, user days, trainings etc.).
  • This individual will be responsible for the continuous mapping of the diagnostic landscape and engaging with a high number of contacts in the field, also scouting for new and unknown stakeholders.
  • This will require a reasonable amount of field travel that can be estimated between 40-60%.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Focus on successfully launching and maintaining IVD assay(s) in your sales region, maximizing sales, developing the market, and increasing the test demand.
  • Continuous mapping of the responsible market and scouting for new opportunities and contacts
  • Contribute to the development of a commercial activities plan for his/her area of responsibility.
  • Be responsible for own performance, checking own progress against goals established in collaboration with line manager.
  • Communicating feedback promptly with line manager and addressing issues accordingly
  • Make IVD assays known through various activities to the Oncology community and attend the most relevant congresses and seminars. Supporting activities should be aligned with the Country and EU strategy and tactics, aligned with budget allocations.
  • Develop commercial activities related to Diagnostic Business for Veracyte in assigned territory, in line with: the strategy defined by the Sr. Country Manager and approved by Veracyte Headquarters; quality policies of the company; local specific regulations and both local and global regulatory matters
  • Regular travel across assigned territory region is required and can reach a reasonable amount of up to 60%

 

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience, including revenue responsibility and a proven track record of selling/promoting Oncology drugs and/or diagnostics, ideally in lean and fast-paced organizations.
  • Experience in a commercial setting especially in growing Oncology businesses in German, Switzerland, and Austria
  • Communication skills to work effectively with external constituents, such as clinicians, KOLs, as well as with internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic market in German, Switzerland, and Austria
  • Specific experience in product or services in the diagnosis or treatment of cancer.
  • Native or resident of territory region, demonstrating affinity and knowledge of the country, its culture, and people.
  • Strong influencing and convincing skills and experience with regards to Oncologists and Pathologists
  • Flexibility and cultural sensitivity to work in a rapidly growing yet still medium-sized company.
  • Able to operate autonomously yet within a structured corporate environment.
  • Driven, self-motivated, independent, dependable, and passionate individual with strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good interaction with colleagues, supportive of teamwork.
  • Scientific background (preferably in a life science, best Medicine)
  • Commercial diagnostics (IVD) or pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of English and German is mandatory.
