The Position Veracyte is seeking an exceptional candidate for a full time, contract, Research Scientist in the Product Development team at our South San Francisco location. The Product Development team at Veracyte is tasked with developing high impact diagnostic assays to address unmet clinical need and improve patient outcomes. This on-site role will be primarily working in the laboratory supporting the Product Development team in achieving both short- and long-term goals and is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on, applied skills within an R&D team at an industry-leading diagnostics company. The successful candidate will work as part of a team developing a novel NGS diagnostic test. This includes NGS library preparation, assay optimization and automation. The role is primarily focused on lab execution, however there will be opportunities to be involved in all aspects of science including experimental planning, troubleshooting, and data analysis.

The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in South San Francisco is $35.00 - $43.75 per hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several objective factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation and Benefits Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that are located in areas outside of the designated location in this posting. | |
