SUMMARY

Financial Finesse is looking for a Key Account Executive for the Retirement practice to help strategically lead our new and existing enterprise partnership development efforts in the retirement industry segment.  The goal of the division is to establish financial wellness partnerships with leading providers of retirement plan recordkeeping, asset management and advisory services.  We provide our clients, and their intermediaries, with business growth acceleration through differentiation and product and service enablement.  Since its inception, FF has launched multiple partnerships with many more on the horizon.  Partnering with the right firms allows Financial Finesse to expand the availability of its wellness and coaching services beyond its traditional Fortune 1000 target market to the small and mid-size corporate space.

We are B2B2C.  That means that end users of our Retirement clients have access to our digital solution including our proprietary, open-architecture virtual financial coach, Aimee™ (artificial intelligence motiving employees everywhere) and/or our elite team of Certified Financial Planner™ professionals through multiple channels.  Completely unbiased, with no sales pitch, our team of Financial Planners work with people from every financial situation on various matters from debt and budgeting to retirement and estate planning.  Not only is free access to an unbiased Financial Planner a unique service, but we have proven behavior-changing results that have a positive impact on people’s lives.

Being on the Retirement team means that you have the ability to be creative, work both externally with prospects and “internally” with clients.  The role will never get dull.  It is multi-faceted and always changing thus needing someone that is comfortable in the grey, an excellent communicator, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and is the ultimate team player.

The position is based remotely, with frequent travel required for internal meetings, sales opportunities, client meetings, conferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Position and sell growth acceleration strategies, not just products, by aligning with enterprise partner business objectives.

·        Lead business development efforts across our Retirement division, including writing and reviewing RFPs and proposals and working with the team on pricing and structuring.

·        Prepare materials for prospect and client meetings, including customized sales presentations, agendas, reporting, and follow-up documentation.

·        Work internally to source answers and solutions to questions beyond immediate knowledge or scope.

·        Take full ownership of the sales cycle — from lead generation and prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and close — operating hands-on and independently.

·        Present pipeline progress internally.

·        Act as senior-level relationship manager for executive level partner contacts.

·        Build out formalized Key Account Management strategy including reporting and other deliverables, for existing partners focused on relationship optimization and growth.

·        Attend industry conferences and networking events with the goal of increasing awareness of Financial Finesse’s value proposition for retirement plan recordkeepers, asset managers and advisory firms.

·        Lead, mentor and manage a small but growing team to optimize performance and ensure team goals align with company objectives.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the retirement services industry, preferably in an enterprise sales/business development capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently run the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, presenting, and closing complex, strategic deals.
  • A self-motivated, driven individual who is goal-oriented and able to take ownership of assigned industries to develop strong, long-term relationships.
  • Must be a self-starter, imaginative, and persuasive, with excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in business development.
  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within an organization, with limited guidance.
  • Existing network of senior retirement professionals from recordkeeping, asset management and advisory channels.
