An advocacy organization with a focus on foreign affairs and national headquarters offices in Washington, DC is looking to engage an Associate Producer in a full-time, temporary role that will start in September 2024 and continue for at least six months, through the end of February, 2025. There is a good chance the role will be extended beyond February, possibly somewhat indefinitely. 

This hybrid position will offer a guaranteed weekly wage plus an overtime differential. Please see details regarding work hours, the pay rate and wage terms below. The organization offers employees the opportunity to work from home two days each week, on Wednesdays and Fridays.

ROLE SUMMARY: 
The Associate Producer will assist in the development of short documentary and news-style videos and presentations for events and social media, with the focus being on content production for a national event in late February. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to coordinate and manage project tasks effectively and efficiently, confidently tackling to-do lists while anticipating next steps within a project’s pipeline. This individual must thrive in a team-oriented environment and feel comfortable collaborating regularly with stakeholders. 

JOB DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Assist Producers with the creation of videos and presentations --each with varying requirements and approval processes-- through every step of the pre-production, production, and post-production process, including:
----- Assisting with the researching/sourcing of assets including footage, photos, music, transcripts, and voice over talent.
----- Generating speaker invitations and contracts, coordinating travel arrangements and rehearsals, gathering multimedia assets, and prepping speakers for their speeches or interviews through written guidance.
----- Coordinating locations and crews as well as writing up production schedules for on-location filming as well as filming at the organization's in-house Studio.
----- Drafting introductory remarks for speeches as well as managing feedback on written copy for interviews/panels with political pundits, Members of Congress, and foreign policy experts. 
----- Updating the organization's project and event management system with relevant information.
----- Assisting show production team and Producers with readying assets for lead-up rehearsals for events.
• During in-person events, on-site responsibilities include assisting show and/or speaker teams with various production and talent coordination duties. 

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS: 
• A minimum of 1-3 years of video production experience at an agency, production company, or within a creative services department. 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or commensurate experience.
• An understanding of the processes and workflows of media production, especially post production.
• Familiarity with social and streaming platform formats and best practices.
• Ability to research topics in depth through various internal and external tools.
• Clear and concise writing skills both for internal communication as well as for short remarks by speakers and video scripts.
• Experience working within a project management system.
• Full competency in Microsoft Office.
• Event related experience a plus. 
• Experience with Salesforce a plus, but not necessary.

LOCATION:
This is a hybrid position. The organization offers staff the opportunity to work from home two days each week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. The employer's offices are in a building that it owns, which is located a short walk from three Metrorail stops in downtown, Washington, DC. 
 
HOURS:
The hiring organization is seeking well qualified individuals who are interested in the following work situation: 

(1) an average of 40 hours/week;
(2) including a limited number of weekends as major events approach; 
(3) with a hybrid on-site/remote schedule; 
(4) starting in September 2024 and continuing for at least six months; 
(5) with the possibility of an extension well beyond six months; 
(6) for a guaranteed weekly wage. 

RATE:
Brainstorm Creative Resources strives to pay competitively and we ask our employer clients to help us make it possible to do so. For this scope of work we are suggesting a pay rate range of $1600/week - $1800/week. This is equivalent to the weekly income generated by working 40-hours/week at $40/hour - $45/hour. It is also the equivalent of an annual salary of $80K to $90K. There is a possibility we may be open to discussing a slightly higher rate ceiling with ideally qualified applicants. 

There will be some overtime required over the six-plus month duration of this engagement. In such cases, an overtime pay differential will be offered above and beyond the guaranteed weekly wage.  We will share specific overtime compensation details with the most well qualified applicants. 

The actual weekly rate offered will be commensurate with your experience and will largely based on the following factors: credentials as detailed in your resume, your interview experiences with Brainstorm Creative Resources and/or our client, and quality of reference providers and references provided.
