Position Summary:

Position performs a variety of assigned administrative, member service and customer support work tasks for the MBA Meetings & Registration Services Group. Under regular supervision, position processes and confirms event registrations, hotel reservations, and sponsor and exhibit applications. Position also maintains a working relationship with MBA departments, members, vendors, and consultants to respond to registration issues and to provide training for others within MBA. Position is an individual contributor role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes and maintains records of registrations, exhibit booth, and sponsor applications for all conferences. Performs data entry, trouble shooting, financial processing, and customer support.
  • Responsible for inbound and outbound call management and responding to member & customer requests and inquiries by email and phone regarding event registration, meetings and housing.
  • Processes attendee housing reservation within the current housing software platform.
  • Generates refunds and credits associated with pre-payments, cancellations, substitutions, and adjustments.
  • Executes financial transaction batches associated with purchases.  Conducts daily and weekly batch closings.
  • Travels and provides on-site administrative support for registration and hotel accommodations for designated events.

Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma plus a minimum five years of prior relevant work experience providing administrative support and facilitating onsite events with association management software in an association and/or financial services environment.

The current recruitment range for this role is $45,000 - $50,000.
