Our client, a global fintech company, is looking for a Data Migration Specialist.

This is a remote 12-month contract. The hourly rate is $35.86 plus paid holidays through Talent Table. You must be located in Canada. No H1Bs or c2c.

You must be proficient in Java and have experience with customer service. This is a linux environment.

Duties:

• Support an ongoing JIRA queue of requests to move payment on file data from external processors to Square.
• Communicate externally with sellers and 3P processors to coordinate the data migration.
• Execute commands in a linux environment to run a Java script for the migration.
• Debug & implement small changes to the Java-based script.
• Communicate internally with engineering teams to work through any potential issues.
• Debug & implement simple Python scripts leveraging Square's public developer platform.

Skills: 

• Comfortable writing & debugging simple Java and Python code.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to operate independently.
