Senior Consultant

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related business field from an accredited university

Years of Experience: 2+ of Federal Consulting experience

U.S. Citizenship Required

Required Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance preferred

As Senior Consultant, you will be required to execute the following tasks for Federal Government Agencies:

• Ability to make defensible positions, by considering courses of action and considering the most beneficial options to the government, when faced with problems
• Be an integral member of Castro & Company’s Advisory Team.
• Develop certain consolidated financial statements, notes, and related audit support documentation in compliance with Federal Accounting Standards.
• Perform financial statement analytical review.
• Write and update accounting policies.
• Prepare technical briefings to Castro Senior Management.
• Draft accounting position papers.
• Document certain critical financial reporting processes.
• Review and assess compliance with OMB Circular A-123.
• Assist with developing requirements and cross-walking changes.
• Support the Manager and other team members with various analysis and ad hoc projects.

To achieve these tasks, you must possess the following Essential Qualities:

• Meaningful experience performing Federal Financial Statement Audits and Reporting.
• Technical knowledge of OMB Circular A-123
• Understanding of Business Process Re-engineering
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis
