Accounting Supervisor


Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field from an accredited university or equivalent experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting that includes knowledge of using Financial Management regulations and guidance at the DOD, Air Force, or National Air Guard level.

U.S. Citizenship Required

Required Security Clearance Level: Secret Clearance  

Certifications:   CPA or CGFM certification preferred

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be required to execute the following tasks for our Federal Government Agency client:

  • Provide accounting operations support for review of certification of funds availability, funds obligation, accounting record reconciliation, reporting and analysis and financial and operating statement certifications

  • Ensure the integrity of all financial transactions and other cost input and distributions/transfers

  • Provide financial management operations support services for receiving, collecting, processing, and analyzing financial data and other information pertaining to wing personnel funding costs  

  • Provide internal controls program support by means of analyzing semi-annual inspection reports, utilizing cross-feeds, management internal control toolset (MICT) and guidance from a variety of sources (DFAS, AF, ANG)

  • Assist with federal payroll processing

  • Be an integral member of Castro & Company’s Advisory Team


To achieve these tasks, you must possess the following Essential Qualities: ​

  • Ability to analyze large volumes of transactions in computerized systems with a high degree of accuracy

  • Exceptional client service and oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) advanced functions
