Scope

The information center is a centralized department managing all research subscriptions and performing research requests supporting all employees within the firm on a global level. Research librarians perform and deliver custom research assignment results to internal clients, provide training on information services as needed, evaluate new resources and advise internal business unites on resource options as appropriate.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform customized, in-depth information research on a variety of complex subjects to support the information needs of the financial, corporate and other staff of the firm.
  • Format, package and deliver results of research projects to clients in an appropriate format.
  • Research and evaluate new and renewing information services and sources.
  • Provide training on information sources as needed for financial staff
  • Remote position with occasional required travel to an office
  • Covering US Eastern Time hours of 3:00 – 12:00 (9:00 – 6:00 Frankfurt time, or 8:00 – 5:00 as needed)

 

Required Qualifications

  • MLS or MLIS degree from an accredited graduate program
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with other team members
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Business background and familiarity with financial terms and concepts
  • Strong proficiency with specialized market data resources including, but not limited to Factiva, LexisNexis, Eikon, Capital IQ/Factset
  • Business Fluency in English

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SDC Platinum, LoanConnector, S&P LCD, S&P Ratings Direct, S&P Capital IQ PRO and others preferred
