Summary:

This individual develops marketing communications campaigns and materials to effectively promote MBA products and services. The position involves working with designers and internal  partners to create comprehensive plans and related promotional materials to support MBA’s revenue goals. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment and have the ability to handle many projects at once especially during peak periods. Must be able to adapt to changing needs and market shifts, providing sound marketing solutions based on the information provided. Must be a strong writer with working knowledge of building multi-channel marketing promotions from concept to completion with minimal oversight.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with manager and internal partners on designated projects to develop and execute creative and compelling marketing campaigns in support of the overall revenue goal.
  2. Write creative and persuasive sales copy for use in email campaigns, digital brochures, advertisements and product web sites.
  3. Work with the internal design team to create promotional concepts and visual direction for products.
  4. Develop marketing analysis reports to determine campaign effectiveness. Monitor and modify campaigns based on results.  
  5. Develop and execute marketing tactical or production plans and deliver tactics on time and within budget. Work collaboratively with internal partners to contribute to larger production calendars and event marketing tasks.
  6. Provide responsive, personalized customer service to assigned department staff, including senior staff members.
  7. Participate in regular department meetings for assigned internal accounts to proactively provide marketing guidance, updates on project status, recommendations for marketing sales strategy.
  8. Perform other duties as requested.

 

Specifications:

College degree with a concentration in marketing and/or communications-related field. Excellent organizational, writing, editing, proofreading, and project management skills. Firm knowledge of new media marketing and campaign development required. Interpersonal skills are a must.  Ability to thrive under pressure and to juggle multiple tasks. Three to five years of marketing experience required, and an advanced degree a plus. Ability to collaborate with colleagues as well as work with senior  management and provide leadership and project management required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly, providing sound marketing solutions to support changing client needs and market shifts. Advanced knowledge and experience in area of specialization. Able to undertake relatively complex management and substantive tasks within the functional area with minimal supervision. Strong creative skills and computer skills are required. Experience in associations or financial services a plus.
