The incumbent will be responsible for supporting MBA Education’s suite of certification and designation programs that serve both single-family and commercial/multifamily mortgage professionals. Additionally, the incumbent will solely be responsible for the oversight and execution of MBA Education’s MBA’s Path to Diversity Scholarship program. Both core areas of the role require someone to have a passion for customer and member services, and a comfort with managing and supporting a wide variety of programs. Incumbent will be expected to travel to select MBA events and work occasional evening/weekend hours in support of the assigned programs.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive working independently during the day while also collaborating with internal (staff) and external (member) stakeholders to ensure programs are meeting the needs of our constituents. The individual will need to adapt to changing circumstances while working flexibly to handle multiple priorities.



Certification and Designations

  • Support the management and execution of MBA Education’s certification and designation programs, including the flagship program - Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for and respond to questions and inquiries from both prospective and in-progress students, and ensure the needs of in-progress candidates are being met
  • Oversee the success of MBA’s digital badging program and work with stakeholders to increase student adoption and awareness of program. Help expand badging beyond current levels.
  • Help calculate points and requirements for certain programs, and assist in the collection of documents needed to validate candidacy
  • Manage recertification process for select programs
  • Assist with the facilitation and delivery of live, instructor-led online prep courses as assigned
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to schedule exams, both written and oral, and oversee delivery of exams as needed. Exams may occur before or after normal business hours, and may be scheduled on weekends.
  • Provide certificates of completion and correspondence as needed
  • Maintain accurate reporting of enrollment, completion, and matriculation data
  • Ensure marketing communication and collateral, and website pages are up-to-date and accurately reflect latest information
  • Above mentioned responsibilities constitute an average of 75% of the individual’s time

Path to Diversity & Scholarship

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of MBA’s Path to Diversity scholarship and work to ensure program goals are being achieved
  • Act as the main point of contact for the program, answering and troubleshooting inquiries from internal stakeholders and external applicants, as well as providing proactive communications on the status of application review and award decisions
  • Speak on member engagement calls and attend meetings as necessary to increase awareness and usage of scholarships
  • Oversee the application review process undertaken by the Scholarship Award Committee, including the scheduling of review meetings, pre-screening of applications, distribution of applications for taskforce review, compilation of taskforce scores, and facilitation of scholarship award decision-making meetings
  • Maintain, track, and report out on the financial standing of the program
  • Ensure marketing communication and collateral, and website pages are up-to-date and accurately reflect latest information
  • Above mentioned responsibilities constitute an average of 25% of the individual’s time

For all of the above responsibilities, the incumbent will:

  • Work with MBA’s Membership Team, Marketing Team, Business Development and other internal stakeholders to provide staff with latest information to address student inquiries, and address complex questions as needed
  • Collaborate with the MBA’s Education Content team to ensure that content is up-to-date, delivered, and produced in time to support various programs
  • Occasionally travel to select MBA Conferences and industry events to represent both Certification & Designation and Path to Diversity initiatives.
  • Process expenses, revenue share, and reimbursements as needed

Bachelor’s degree preferred (or progressive and relevant work experience) with 1-2 years or high school diploma with 3-4 years of training, event management, or program management desired. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills required, and must have comfort speaking in front of executives and large audiences in both a virtual and in-person setting. Must be able to manage and deliver programs with minimal supervision, and with tight and conflicting deadlines.

Intermediate knowledge common of MS Office applications required. Previous experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Association Management Systems (AMS) preferred. Ability to learn new technologies required.

Trade association experience and knowledge of real estate finance concepts preferred. Some evening and weekend hours is to be expected as well as multiple day travel engagement for select events. Travel can constitute up to 10% of the time during peak periods.
