Summary

 

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Network/Systems Admin. Specialist, II to support our corporate offices. This position requires a hybrid schedule with onsite presence on Wednesdays at our Tyson's Corner, VA office. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT equipment and systems, including but not limited to, laptops, desktops, VoIP phones, company owned cell phones, monitors, servers, switches, security appliances, printers, etc.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly and effectively; resolve technical needs of employees and manage IT devices
  • Oversee asset inventory and ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of all IT equipment
  • Support the management and installation of Microsoft services and software, including Windows editions, Office 365 Apps, Intune, Autopilot, and related programs
  • Participate in new system setup, upgrades, and modifications, act as a technical resource for system configurations
  • Assist in the administration of hybrid on-premise and cloud technologies, including Active Directory and M365
  • Support onboarding and offboarding requests for users, including managing distribution lists
  • Performs system administration work to include user account management and installation of approved software
  • Continuously monitor SIEM and endpoint detection platforms for critical alerts
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Escalation Procedures and Work Instructions

Required Qualifications

 

  • Associates degree or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center including Endpoint Manager (Intune), Autopilot, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office apps (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of troubleshooting computer networks, hardware, and software
  • Proficient with Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Proficient in the latest versions of Windows Server software and Azure platform
  • Excellent customer service skills, dedicated, responsible, positive, and professional demeanor

Desired Requirements

 

  • BA/BS in relevant field
  • A+CE, Network+CE, Security+CE Certifications
  • Windows Server 2019 experience
  • Understanding of the OSI model
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and/or experience
  • Experience with security controls implementation such as CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification)
  • Expertise in hybrid environments

Education

 

High School diploma and 3 - 5 years’ of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience, e.g., each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.  Additional specialized training equivalent to an Associate’s degree with at least 1 years’ experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 years’ experience.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $49,702.00 - $74,552.00 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
