Position Summary:

The Azure DLP Compliance Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Data Loss Prevention strategies and solutions within the Azure cloud environment. The role’s primary focus is to ensure that the organization's data is secure, confidential, and compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations.  Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs.  Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data loss prevention strategies within the Azure environment.
  • Configure and manage Azure DLP policies to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, and loss of sensitive data.
  • Stay abreast of data protection laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret and apply relevant regulations to Azure DLP practices.
  • Create and maintain DLP policies and procedures, ensuring they align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Document and communicate DLP best practices to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor Azure DLP incidents and alerts, investigate security events, and provide timely response and resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop incident response plans and conduct regular drills.
  • Work closely with IT, security and business teams to understand date usage patterns and business requirements.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on data protection and DLP best practices.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments of Azure DLP configurations and policies.
  • Generate reports and recommendations for continuous improvement of DLP controls.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Azure DLP strategy and implementation
  • 1+ years experience with implementing regulatory compliance policies
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure security services and features.
  • Familiarity with relevant data protection laws and regulations
  • Experience with policy development and documentation
  • Experience with incident response, documentation, and monitoring
  • Experience with collaboration and training
  • Experience with security audits and assessments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Skilled with collaboration, communication and knowledge sharing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field
  • 2+ years proven experience in implementing and managing DLP solutions in Azure
  • 3+ years Microsoft Systems Administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desirable Certifications include:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

  • Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.  More is possible if experience dictates.
