FACILITY & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility and Maintenance Technician directs or assists the maintenance and custodial program in order to maintain all facilities, grounds and equipment in a sanitary, functional, attractive and orderly condition.
LIMITATIONS OF AUTHORITY: The Facility and Maintenance Technician confers with the Administrator or Region Director before initiating expenditures of more than $500.00 cost. In the absence of the Administrator / Region Director, the Facility and Maintenance Technician may initiate emergency repairs not to exceed $1,000.
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus four years’ experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or painting; OR eight years ’ experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or painting.
• Broad knowledge of construction, repair, maintenance and service procedures, practices, problems and compliance, including procurement, cost-benefit analysis and cost control, also landscaping and mechanical systems preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• The following licenses/certifications are preferred: mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, or electrical.
