Position Description/Overview:

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Senior Application Developer. This role will support Information Technology. The primary responsibilities of this position are to design, develop, support, and maintain software applications. Other responsibilities include communicating effectively with product management to determine the software application requirements, create and effectively execute the development plan.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Designs Software Applications:

  • Gathers requirements and design specifications, research technologies.
  • Designs user interface, supporting database, and application architecture.
  • Performs Systems Analysis and Design, prepares functional specifications and technical specifications for small applications or systems.
  • Ensures compliance and recommends change, if necessary, in standards, policies or processes.
  • Develops unit test plans for software applications.

Develops and Implements Software Applications:

  • Follows and updates the design specifications as needed.
  • Produces supporting documentation.
  • Develops code according to development standards.
  • Assists other developers with development providing guidance on best practices.
  • Prepares work for inclusion in the release/deployment management process.
  • Assists technical leads in code reviews and provides insight and feedback for improvement. 

Supports Software Applications:

  • Troubleshoots problems identified by users.
  • Creates installation, troubleshooting, and end user documentation.
  • Provides support and follow-up for issues.
  • Writes unit/integration tests to prove the software meets the functional needs
  • Troubleshoot distributed event driven applications.
  • Supports the full cycle of software applications including design, build, package, deploy, troubleshoot, and bug fix.
  • Follows an Agile Software Development Life Cycle that delivers incremental value to the business owner.
  • Implements software applications using Microsoft technologies (.Net, C#, SQL, Azure)
  • Full Stack developer capable of coding frontend UI’s, REST API's and backend asynchronous processes.


Technical Skills:

  • At least 5 or more years of proven experience as an Application Developer in similar environment.
  • 4+ years of building software solutions with Microsoft technologies
    • C#, .Net Core 6
    • Familiarity with Azure Functions and Azure Web Apps/Deployment Slots
    • DevOps (creating and maintaining build pipelines to integrate with Azure hosted applications)
    • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Front End Technologies – Angular UI, REST API's, CSS, Javascript, and backend asynchronous processes.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Experience with:
    • Microservices architecture
    • Writing code that can be unit tested.
    • Automating build and deployment processes (Continuous Integration)
