Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, Tidewater Environmental Services, offers a range of services including industrial cleaning, hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation, wet/dry vacuum services, tank cleaning, and ship cargo hold cleaning throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and parts of California. We are currently seeking Laborers to use water blasters and other equipment to perform marine and industrial cleaning services.
Responsibilities of this position require the ability to:
work up to 14 hours per day (work is performed seven days a week, 24 hours per day as required by our customers)
work an on-call schedule with no minimum guarantee of hours (on average, Laborers work approximately 1400 hours per year)
travel to job sites to include overnight stays (10-15% of work is out of town; on average trips are 5-7 days)
perform hard, physical labor in various work conditions and temperatures
work at various heights (up to 60 feet)
work in confined spaces
work in a team environment
obtain a Transportation Work Identification Credential (TWIC) Card from the Department of Homeland Security
Starting wage is $18.40 per hour. Overtime is paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day or 40 hours per week. Upon eligibility, generous benefit package includes 100% employer paid full-family medical/dental/vision coverage, paid vacation, pension, and eight paid holidays per year. This position is represented by the I.U.P.A.T District Council No.5; however, work is not based upon seniority.
