Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, Tidewater Environmental Services, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team! This individual will drive roll-off, dropbox, vacuum (wet/dry), Vac-Con, and guzzler trucks to transport hazardous and non-hazardous products to specified destinations. This includes loading and unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Work is performed in construction and industrial type settings and interacts with both customers and employees.
Our CDL Drivers are home most nights and earn $25.00 to $29.75 per hour depending on experience and depending on valid Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. This position provides year-round work with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours pay each week. Overtime is paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day or 40 hours per week. Upon eligibility, generous benefit package includes full-family medical/dental/vision coverage, paid sick and vacation, pension, and eight paid holidays per year. Manages self and others in support of incident-free operations.
Drives rolloff, dropbox, vacuum (wet/dry), VacCon, and guzzler trucks to transport material to various locations.
Loads equipment and vacuum hoses.
Ensures the successful and timely delivery of products.
Maintains appropriate communication via cell phone with employees and customers.
Follows all Company work rules, procedures and guidelines.
Represents the Company in a professional manner.
Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
Required Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have a valid Drivers’ License and a good driving record.
Must have Commercial Driver’s License (Class A).
Ability to obtain HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to work an on-call schedule.
Ability to travel to job sites that include out of town work (10-15%), as required.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for maintenance yard location, which may include ear plugs, protective eyewear, goggles, life vest, crush resistant footwear, hard hat and personal flotation devices.
Ability to obtain a Transportation Work Identification Credential (TWIC) Card from the Department of Homeland Security.
Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors in a variety of conditions.
Must have basic mathematical skills necessary to perform essential functions of the position.
