ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for overall content and flow of live morning show. Manages the show from pre-planning to final editing, providing feedback to hosts, and generating ideas.

• Keeps show on track and connected to listeners by engaging hosts and guests.

• Make sure all aspects of the show are of high-quality while being able to plan ahead and meet deadlines.

• Provide talent with “Live Read” run times and ensure talent has the proper copy for live reads

• Edit audio, post to online feeds; create audio highlights for promos, podcasts and social media. Create a social media voice of the show.

• Archive best of and evergreen show content for award submissions

• Keep current with trends. Brainstorm new social media ideas and assist with the creation, recording, and posting of content.

• Have a strong understand the country music format

• Help with basic video recording and production.

• Work with programming and sales staff to help create usable inventory, attract sponsors, and deliver extra value to clients.

• Be able to handle last-minute and unexpected changes during regular work shift, during shows and at other times as necessary. Communicate quickly and clearly.

• Ensure talent executes and follows the programming clock 

• Work seamlessly with other departments.

• Attend and participate in meetings as required. Make public appearances.

• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Wide Orbit, Vox Pro, Adobe Audition

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Possess knowledge of audio editing to quickly and effectively screen calls

• Strong understanding of the digital environment including website updates, video editing, blog maintenance and contributing to social media content (i.e. Facebook , Instagram, Twitter, etc)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 year of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
