Project R&D Controller
New Bern, NC/ Full-time
Your responsibilities
To provide management with financial analysis and reporting related to product projects and development centers. As a key member of the project team the Project/R&D Controller is responsible for preparing reports that summarize and forecast projects in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. Position is responsible for Business Planning and Forecast processes for all regional Development Centers and OM Departments.
· Prepare project calculations and reporting for project manager, US headquarters, BUs, and Munich including :
o Project expense analysis and reporting
o Project investment analysis and reporting
o Routing analysis and patrol
o Material cost analysis
o Milestone trend analysis
o Project status overview
o Reconciliation with Project Leaders
· Coordinate PAR (Project Application Request) process
· Business Partner to Development and Project Teams and steer financial requirements for region
· As the financial consultant of regional Development and OM strategy; develops and maintains systems to monitor and measure the implementation of business and strategic plans
· Ensures accurate and timely reporting of monthly/quarterly/yearly RNA Development Centers to regional & global management
· Contributes to BSH Strategic Planning Process as Controlling partner of RNA Development; interface to RNA Regional Controlling, GDE, and CCA
· Consolidates monthly performance analysis for all regional Development Centers and OM departments
· Responsible for Business Planning and Forecast processes of all Development, OM, and Project expenses
· Analyses and evaluates the business situation in order to proactively identify opportunities and potential risks at an early stage
· Financial lead for Material Module within PIC process and push DE teams to achieve ratio targets and create accountability for large gaps to target
· Support factory controlling teams in driving CIP
· Advise management about profitability and measures to increase profitability
· Ensure project reporting to headquarters in time
· Perform all other duties as assigned
Your profile
· Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) – Required
· Bachelor’s degree (CPA) – Preferred
· 5-7 Years of Experience (Cost Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting, and/or Budget Analysis) – Required
· Factory controlling, sales controlling, project calculations/controlling
· Financial reporting & budget analysis
· BOMs
· Advanced accounting topics, foreign currency and transfer pricing.
· Detail oriented with good problem solving and decision making skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills and organizational skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced team environment and adhere to strict deadlines.
· SAP knowledge an advantage
· Essbase, PowerBi, and/or other analytical tools
· Travel Percentage – 10%
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

· 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
· 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
