Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

The Survey and Mapping and Subsurface Utility Engineering (S.U.E.) workers will play a crucial role in infrastructure projects by providing essential information about underground utilities to ensure the safety of workers and the public, as well as the integrity of existing infrastructure.
Technical field and limited office work assisting with underground utility locating for survey and mapping projects. Employees in this class operate various types of equipment in day-to-day operations to accurately locate underground utilities, such as water pipes, gas lines, and electrical cables as part of a survey team, and perform a variety of technical tasks. Work is completed under the direction of a Professional Surveyor and Mapper. The Public Works Survey and Mapping Division has a variety of customers and provides a wide range of deliverables with a major focus on supporting the County's Capital Improvement Program as well as other initiatives. The Division consists of both office and field assigned staff. We are looking for a candidate that is action-oriented, has good communication skills and a can-do attitude, and is a continual learner. A successful employee in this position will want to learn the functions of the division and be flexible, positive and a real team player.
