ELECTRICIAN

Our Electrical team plays a critical role within the Maintenance department keeping our world illuminated, appliances powered, machines spinning and kitchens cooking.

We now have an opportunity available for a qualified Electrician to join our Maintenance department and work with our friendly team.

Your Role

This versatile role will see you responsible for the maintenance, repairs and installation of the electrical installations and systems on Hamilton Island owned infrastructure including the  Marina, Airport, Restaurants, Bars, High-rise apartments, Amusement machines, Wildlife Park, Resort and Guest accommodations.

You will also:

• Test & Tag electrical appliances
• Carry out general maintenance and repairs to white goods, audio visual systems and various motors and pumps 
• Commercial Kitchen/ Laundry equipment repairs
• Power and Lighting repairs
• Responsible for the maintenance and some installation of light and power to the resorts
• Responsible for the maintenance and some installation of commercial kitchen appliances

About You

You are a cup half full kind of person, with a “can do” attitude, you’re organised, friendly, polite and enjoy working in a close-knit team and understand that the role you are performing is critical to our guests enjoyment of the Island. 

A versatile Electrician who has experience in a wide range of equipment maintenance and repairs.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• QLD Electrical Work Licence - Electrical Fitter & Mechanical
• Minimum 2 years full time trade experience
• Full drivers licence
• White Card
• Working at Heights
• Up to date CPR/LVR
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent personal presentation
• Prepared to be rostered "on-call" and wear a pager as required
